But it doesn’t have to be this way. There are simple things we can do to treat this common complaint. All you have to do is start talking: to your friends, partner, and especially your health care provider.
In the months ahead you’ll be hearing a lot more about this issue from me because I’m a woman on a mission, having recently joined an important alliance — GLAM (Great Life After Menopause) — to encourage and inspire women to talk about vaginal discomfort, get the treatment they need, and feel good again.
GLAM is made up of women just like me who have gone through menopause, experienced some of the unpleasant changes, but decided to do something about it. This important initiative is sponsored by Novo Nordisk, a global leader in women’s health.
For more information about GLAM (Great Life After Menopause) and the other members of our alliance, please visit www.greatlifeaftermenopause.com. And if you want to know more how to take better care of what’s below the belt . . . visit: vaginaldiscomfort.com.
And remember this: we can’t control getting older . . . but . . . we can control how we do it.
I am a member of GLAM (Great Life After Menopause), a women’s health initiative sponsored by Novo Nordisk.
